Madrid Tech Show
October 29 and 30, 2025
The Madrid Tech Show 2025 once again solidified its position as one of Europe's most important technology events, bringing together companies, leaders, and experts to discuss the latest trends in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, and, especially, cybersecurity.
In this edition, Uniway had a prominent presence, reinforcing its role as a leader in managed services and advanced cybersecurity. The company presented its vision for true cybersecurity, a comprehensive approach that combines technology, context, and human expertise.
Real cybersecurity and intelligent risk management
During his presentation, Sergio Ruiz (Technical Director of Uniway) delivered a talk entitled Real-Time Cybersecurity: Response, Negotiation, and Business Continuity, focusing on how the company understands and applies  managed cybersecurity, drawing on over 25 years of experience in technology services and its own infrastructure comprised of two independent and fully operational data centers.
He emphasized that cybersecurity depends not only on having the best tools, but also on knowing how to manage, interpret, and respond quickly and contextually to threats.

Technology alone is not enough; without knowledge, context, and the ability to react, the tools lose their value.
Evolution towards managed cybersecurity
Uniway has evolved from its origins as a managed services provider to become a benchmark in 24x7 managed security, integrating automation capabilities, threat analysis, and artificial intelligence into its solutions.
The company's proposed real cybersecurity model  is based on three fundamental pillars:
- Context: Understanding the client's infrastructure, business model, and critical assets.
- Experience: Managing tools and systems with in-depth operational knowledge.
- Reaction: To have the capacity to respond immediately to any incident.
This approach ensures that each client receives protection tailored to their environment and needs, integrating their existing solutions to optimize investment and minimize risk.
Proprietary infrastructure and applied artificial intelligence
He emphasized that their entire cybersecurity operation is based on their own infrastructure, without relying on external clouds.
This infrastructure forms the basis of their managed service, which comprises:
- A SOC (Security Operations Center) for incident management and analysis.
- An automation system that allows for faster responses and reduced containment times.
- An internally developed, AI-powered Threat Intelligence (CTI) platform.
Thanks to this ecosystem, critical information is filtered and prioritized, giving analysts an accurate view to act quickly and effectively.

The theft of 1.5 billion in cryptocurrencies
As part of the incident response segment, Uniway, together with its international partner Sygnia, presented a real-world case study that captured the public's attention: the theft of $1.5billion in cryptocurrency from Bybit, a major player in the digital finance sector.
Cyber intelligence expert  Jonatan Lipschitz (Director of Client Leadership EMEA at Sygnia) analyzed how a simple phishing attack and a supply chain breach resulted in one of the industry's largest losses.

A cyberattack is not a question of if it will happen, but when and how it will be responded to
The case served to illustrate the need for well-structured crisis plans, specialized teams, and agile and transparent communication during incidents.
Furthermore, it reinforced Uniway's core message: cybersecurity must be understood as an ongoing process, based on both prevention and resilience.
The human factor and business continuity
Uniway emphasized that the human factor remains crucial in responding to attacks. Preparation, training, and coordination are essential to avoid errors under pressure.
In this regard, the company promotes a strategy based on three pillars:
- Continuous protection: through MDR (Managed Detection & Response) services
- Expert answer: with teams trained in real crisis management.
- Business continuity: ensuring that the customer's business can be maintained even in the midst of an incident.
Towards a more human, smarter cybersecurity
Uniway's participation in Madrid Tech Show 2025 reaffirms its commitment to a cybersecurity vision centered on combining  advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and human expertise. True cybersecurity isn't measured by how many attacks we prevent, but by how quickly we can recover after one.
